Emerald Arc

Emerald Arc Technology Consulting was founded in Boston in 2006 by a pair of Harvard graduate students who wanted to provide custom services to companies with unique technology landscapes. We have since relocated to the Silicon Forest of Portland, Oregon.

Requirements Gathering

We understand that technology should serve the business, not the other way around. In our requirements gathering work we focus on what the business needs, and then we find the right tools to meet those needs.

Code Development

We develop code according to the union of our customers’ standards and our own. We use your source code control and issue tracking systems, or recommend solutions if you do not have them in place already.

Documentation and Validation

We work extensively in GxP and SOX environments, and are very familiar with the need to exercise great care in all our work. In addition to developing code, we also develop accompanying documentation, such as requirements specifications, validation protocols and trace matrices. We do not see this type of work as simply a requirement to be met, but an essential part of providing the right service to the customers that need it.

Confidentiality and Data Protection

Our customers’ data and code stays on their network or their machines, and all our interactions are confidential. For that reason we do not promote Emerald Arc by listing the names and logos of our customers.
